Thanks for uploading the photos. Don't think anyone would disagree with your comments. It will be interesting to know what they say, so please let us know.POPPYOSCAR wrote: »This seems to be all too common nowadays.
Is there anywhere that can be trusted to deliver decent flowers?
I think it's common with online florists. I have to say my local florist is brilliant. She's lovely to deal with, excellent value for money, supplies some of the best flowers I've ever bought (they seem to last forever!) and delivers when she says she will. I guess it's the difference between a local independent shop and a larger chain where people are less accountable.0 -

I was under the impression that Sereneta operated in a similar fashion to Interflora and use local independent florists to create / deliver the bouquet. The website was under sereneta.com/bramhall (something along those lines)
Upon delivery it was clear they were sent from Middlesex in a box overnight.0 -
from their website (bolding mine)London florist Serenata Flowers delivers beautiful fresh flowers in the UK. As an independent florist, we cut out middlemen and offers cheaper flowers by buying flowers direct from the best growers and flower auctions around the world. Our flowers are fresher that what you will find in traditional flower shops in the UK, since we buy flowers internationally delivered to the UK and shipped out via our Free flower delivery service the same day.
For last minute flower deliveries we have partnered with local florists throughtout England, Scotland and Wales to offer same-day flower delivery, at a modest cost of £6.99.0 -
Am I the only one thinking that they also look more pink/fuchsia than red?0

They can't argue that they're fresher than anything!
They certainly dont match the colour advertised on the website.0 -
Wizzle, I'd really be interested to know their response.
The reviews are pretty positive overall and their Facebook page it managed well, lots of interaction with customers and lots of positive comments. I know that's no guarantee but it's normally a good indication.
Wait a bit for them to respond and if they don't, or you're not happy, you could always post a photo of the flowers on their Facebook page! I'm pretty sure you'd get a response to that!0 -

After not having a response to my email sent yesterday, i contacted them throught their website and they said they had not received my email.
I forwarded the email to the exact same email address and got a response saying they have it and will look into it.
Hopefully the response will be positive.
Heres an extract from their site:
Our guarantees and promises
Freshness
Because our flowers are sourced directly from growers and auctions, are flowers are normally sent out in bud form meaning they will last longer with the recipient. In the few cases where the flowers are not delivered fresh, please do let us know and we will replace them free of charge.
Damages
Our flowers are packed carefully to ensure they arrive as fresh and beautiful as when they left our flower emporium, but sometimes flowers do get damaged in transit. Should this occur, please contact us so what we can arrange a replacement bouquet. Please note that it may be necessary to return the original product in order to receive the replacement product, or in most cases sending us a photo of the damaged item should suffice.
I just hope they give me the refund rather than an exchange now Valentines Day has been and gone!0 -
They are dehydrated and basically dead, have thrown better in the bin. I bet if you put your finger on the side of the rose petals and push gently it will go inwards, and if you take the base of the flower between your finger and thumb it will be squashy.
These flowerbox companies do their best to hide the fact that they are warehouse stuffing flowers into boxes and charging top dollar for doing so, I hope you get a full refund and a fresh bouquet. they also look raspberry to me but it might be the photograph light, they certainly aren't grand prix or passion, which are the roses traditionally used on valentines day.0 -
