That you should worry about your kids us one thing but that you would take the steps to try to resolve her problems is not what you would expect from a separated couple. Whatever the nature of your relationship, very close friends our wishing to get back together, it won't help get case to take actions on her behalf. Just give her more evidence that you were not living there with her.0

wow, there really are some !!!!!!!!s on this site arent there. No, everything is !!!!ing perfect shedboy, being split up from my wife is brilliant and I can still go the pub every night and have a great !!!!ing time cos i dont live with them wooooooooo yeah!!
why do people like you and asdf 1982 post? I dont get what you get out of it. Did you think your snide comments were likely to help? You're on here cos its a money saving site so no point acting like you're superior to everyone
Thank you to the rest of you. You ask a simple question for a simple answer etc....
For someone who is asking us tax payers for money you really are aggressive arent you ? So we are meant to just hand over our cash to you with no questions asked ?
From what you have posted you are both still considering yourselves as a couple. The single mum tax credits situation is set up to help those single mums whose partner has abandoned them and gone away. In your case it seems more like a case of you both splitting up so that the State can then step in and help out your wife and kids while you go and live as single.
It is your wife's problem now since it is her claim as single that is being investigated, you butting in and aggressively supporting this whole thing is only going to complicate matters for her.0 -
I give up tbh. Used to like this site but gonna give it a miss after this. Cheers all :beer:0

I'm now divorced from my husband and yet I have just been sorting out his tax refund, not all couples that split are enemies. If you have children then behaving like adults and being supportive is imperative. Anything that affects the children should be handled together if possible, surely?Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe.
“Don’t have children if you can’t afford them” is the “Let them eat cake” of the 21st century. It doesn’t matter how children got here, they need and deserve to be fed.0 -
It is the best option TBH, this site is used mainly by tax payers who are giving away almost all their earnings to the State and are having to look for money saving ideas to sustain.
However this section of the site is for those that need help with benefits and tax credits, non-judgemental help in fact.Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe.

And who on earth are you to speak for everyone on this site?! For your information, this particular part of the forums is actually for information and advice on benefits entitlement and is NOT for judgment on benefits policy.
And before you ask, I'm a 45 year old 40% taxpayer, no kids, who started full-time work 2 days after finishing college at 17 and has never claimed a penny of any form of benefit in my life. Doesn't make me any better than anyone else on this board. Don't presume everyone thinks like you do!DMP Mutual Support Thread member 244

OP, advise your ex to seek advice from he MP. They can fast track things and get extra info, I've found my MP to be an invaluable help when there were issues with my TCs0

In the meantime the real issues that MP's need to resolve will not get looked at because they are busy sorting out tax credit issues.0
