anyone read on the internet without Opera?
I can only use Opera mobile for reading on the internet
took me a while to find a browser that would auto-wrap text to screen width each time I zoom in/out on the fly
tried most other browsers including Google chrome which will zoom but not rewrap text which means reading by panning???
I can't understand how anyone can possible read internet articles this way on regular basis (maybe I would resort to reading instructions for operating a lifejacket but only if I was on a sinking ship)
Google chrome also screws up fonts ( forum headings 2 feet tall but main article barely visible)
so why not keep using opera?
GC is faster and synced up with my other jiggers
and maybe I'm overlooking something obvious but I can't figure how anyone can read articles/forums with anything but Opera

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

Unfortunately Opera is the only browser I've found that offers that feature. And very nice it is too.
Opera might drop it following its move to WebKit, which is what Google's Chrome is based on.
Or, if we're lucky, it may be a feature that Opera adds to the WebKit project.0 -

Strangely enough the default browser i got with my G300 did this perfectly - in fact i figured all browsers did it - wasn't until i upgraded to ICS that i realised none of them did until i was pointed to Opera
Hope the feature is added and not removed otherwise i wont be able to read forums using my mobile at all
I guess the lack of response to this thread suggest nobodys else reads forums/stuff using a mobile - i read everyday forums/news whilst having my costa in the morning
dont really want to start carrying my tablet around just to read forums
still struggling to believe that a bunch of G Chrome mobile app developers read text on the internet using zoom and panning and thought - great - thats fine????????
personally i would fire them on the spot as a liability to the Google brandWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

It is the same on my Satio and xperia Ray and I think the wildfire, I double tap the screen and the text wraps and fits to screen with the stock browser.0 -

Didn't even need to double-tap with my original browser or Opera - it just wraps text to screen on-the-fly - which is great because i zoom in/out all the time for different size fonts, even in the same article
Cant figure how anyone manages to read without it - hence cant figure why other browsers dont do it - unless people in general dont read much on their moby and just look at the pictures in a browser and/or maybe only 'read' stuff if they have a special app just for that one web site - facebook etcWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

The mobile sites fit on the fly, sites like this I have to double tap, but it is no issue to do, not 100% sure but I think if I use google on the mobile it shows the mobile sites 1st, I know some sites are mobile friendly or more friendly than others :cool:0 -
I need opera mini on bb curve as the blackberry browser is horrific to use. The browser on the blackberry playbook is superb.0

Thanks! I've recently begun reading forums on my Galaxy Note -- I was struggling, using Chrome, till I found this thread. Nlow I have Opera Mobile and can read normally.0

Dolphin Browser - and there is a Dolphin mini version as well. is great. It has a beautiful feature you can add from the add-ons, also available from Play Store.
It can switch between Android mode and PC mode on the fly. It is faster than Opera - which I have - beats the native browser as well.
Free and worth a try. If you do, please let this thread know how you found it worked on your Android - mine is a Nexus 7 plus a Versus Tab2 that I was using.0
