unsure of delay date??

Firstly im new so be gentle with me plz! My flight was delayed (approx) 5yrs ago i remember it being a nightmare, v.little from airline (enough for a basic sandwich n water) we ended being delayed for 6-8 hours. No explanation when we eventually got on board so not sure what was actually wrong. Anyways just wondering under these circumstances if my hands are tied or is there any way of finding out without exact dates? (if this is a silly Q please ignore me) (J)

you will need the information of the flight that you were booked on and the date to then write to the airline

I can beat you, we went to Prague and were left sat on the plane for 4 hours whilst they tried to fix a problem and I can't even remember the year!
