Stop whining because you were too lazy to get off your backside and go buy her stuff personally , you ruined the day by relying on third parties to do stuff that you couldn't be bothered to do yourself!

I kind of agree with this. Apart from if you're parted from your loved one on Valentine's Day (or any other day that you'd like to give flowers, e.g. wedding anniversary). Then what do you do? You have to rely on a third party, don't you?

OK......So, you have no right to moan if you rely on a third party to do something. So by my reckoning, anyone who pays a cleaner, goes to a restaurant, buys furniture, uses electricity without generating it themselves.... in fact anything beyond a stone age society, shouldn't moan because they "were too lazy to get off their backside".

Or you could be talking tripe.

It's definitely one of the two.

Where do they say when they ordered?
In the first line of their post, the interpretation is down to yourself considering the lack of punctuation

The first line of their post reads: "I placed an order with iflorist online for them to deliver flowers, chocolates and balloons to my wife,"

I fail to see how any amount of punctuation in that could lead to you determining when they ordered. Perhaps you could add the punctuation to assist me.

You just proved the point that courier flowers are all too often for those with no imagination or too lazy to put some effort in.

Buy a personal thoughtful present instead of dullsville generic flowers (identikit bunch to thousands of other women), hide it somewhere in her home/ car/ office/ garden/ outbuilding and inform her of the location on Valentine's day.

Buy a personal thoughtful present instead of dullsville generic flowers and send it via a friend/ colleague/ relative/ neighbour/ reliable courier not Yodel/ Special Delivery yourself in plenty of time for Valentine's day.

Buy a personal thoughtful present AND dullsville generic flowers and cover your bases.

Agree to celebrate Valentine's day on a completely different day since you cannot be together, then surprise her with dullsville generic flowers anyway.

Send the flowers a day early: saving money, surprising your loved one more, giving yourself breathing space if things go tits up.

How do women manage to surprise their men on special occasions when flowers are (usually) not an option? How do those whose female partner has hayfever cope when flowers are not an option?

If you're intent on using a third party to fulfil an important transaction, surely it's essential to do a little research on them first? There's no shortage of complaints about iflorist on here and indeed the internet as a whole. This thread in particularly should have warned you.

I think there was some confusion as you quoted a different post to the OP.
You appear to be replying to 4062, who doesn't state when he ordered, as opposed to the OP.
