My main reason for the card is because i have a 6 month old son and if the washing machine broke down for example i would struggle to replace it, handy for emergency's and spreading payments,
And shopping for some cash back to try and nullify the anual fee !0 -

There is no annual fee in the first year.0 -
Sorry, probably not. In your original post when you said they had upgraded the bank account I assumed it was to the 123
Ah i see, no i was upgraded to the everyday account with cheque book and visa debit, suddenly my online banking looks like a Christmas tree all lit up with accounts and credit card .ha ha.0 -
commision on all cc purchases...??. i better swat up a bit more :-(
It is quite simple.
If you buy something costing, say, £100 with a VISA card the retailer will have to pay VISA a percentage of that £100.
Complex rules about how big the percentage would be, but as an example could be, say, 0.5% to 2%. So VISA will credit the retailer's account with between £98 to £99.50. VISA and the Bank will split the 50p to £2(not equally)0 -
Don't debit cards incur a fixed fee rather than a percentage? Hence car salesmen usually charge a 2% fee for using a credit card but none for using a debit card?Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Regarding the interest rate on this card. it says ...
Purchase borrowing rate: 18.9% p.a.(variable)
Equivalent to:22.8% APR Representative (variable)
Based on a credit limit of £1,200^
Annual fee:£24
i am alittle confused is the difference because of the anual fee??
I have a credit limit of £500 so whats my apr %??
thanks.0
