Sidelights are to be seen, headlights are to see.
If the headlights make your ability to see worse then you turn them off.
It's not my problem that some modern cars come with crap unusable sidelights, sorry about your poor choice of vehicle. You'll have no problem seeing my Cefiro on just sides and fogs.
Other than those particular problematic cars, if you can't see a car that is running solely on sidelights you may wish to consider handing in your driving licence.
Nothing wrong with my eyesight at all, i'll give you opticians number if you want him to check yours ? Ive said it before side lights are a pain in the !!!!!.
The highway code actually says that in adverse weather you MUST use headlights, it does also say use fog lights if you cant see further than 100m.
I have to say though rear fogs on when you are in a lot of traffic is a strain on the eyes, personally speaking I use the rears when there are no cars behind me, then when I see cars in my mirron I turn them off so as not to dazzle, likewise with my front ones. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

It's a grey area. When the visibility is really really bad, headlights are a hinderance and fogs are preferable. You can't legislate for every scenario and no copper is going to be able to read your numberplates in the situation I'm referring to.
Agree that in milder fog that headlights is likely better.I have to say though rear fogs on when you are in a lot of traffic is a strain on the eyes, personally speaking I use the rears when there are no cars behind me, then when I see cars in my mirron I turn them off so as not to dazzle, likewise with my front ones.
Again, the law says to use them, but common sense says turn them off once you have someone behind who has obviously seen them.0 -

It's basically an S13 Silvia only with an RB engine and stuffed into a Maxima-style body.
Except for mine which is the even rarer 4WD version, in that case it's the front third of an R32 Skyline 2.0 GTS4 suck to the rear two thirds of a Silvia and then stuffed into a Maxima-style body.
For insurance purposes it's considered to be the same risk as a 2 litre J30 Nissan Maxima.Police and barrys also treat it like an old Maxima.
My build thread is here, there's also a gratuitous front fog light picture just to keep this slightly on topic. (no it's not me driving it in that picture, I don't drive with fogs on during a clear day)0 -
Nice motor lum... Love that ss exhaust, I imagine it goes like stink when the need arises ? bit like my Forester xt looks like a tank but with a tweaked scoob under the bonnet its see ya :wave:You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Forester XT is a fun car. It's 90% of a Forester STI, but without any of the bling. Forester STI looks a bit silly IMO.
And yes it's quick enough, maybe a little laggy when you first plant it as the turbo doesn't really get going until 2-2.5 rpm, but providing you're planning things properly it's not a problem.0
