obrtaining ticket info

I had a 24 hour delay with Sri Lankan airlines in June 09. Ive written to them and they've agreed to pay 600 euros each to me and my OH only problem is they want the ticket numbers which I haven't got.
I did send all the information to them in 2009 when I tried to make a claim for the delay but they turned the claim down at the time. I destoyed the originals last year when i moved offices!
They have said that they cant access my personal information due to the DPA. Can I request the ticket information under DPA from the airline or should I go to the travel agent I booked with and request the information from them, if they still have it? How long are the airlines and travel agents obliged to keep personal information?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I am interested in this for a flight delayed in 2008. No original paper work at home!

As an independant high street travel agent we keep our paper records going back 7 years (invoices etc) but this does not mean we would have a record of a eticket number because they are sent out to the client for travel. It may however be possible for your agent to find this information from a supplier. If you regularly book you travel arrangements with the agent they will more than likely help you, but if not they may charge you a fee for their time.
