MSE Plusnet half price offer

I clicked on the link from the cheap broadband article to get 9 months half price BB and £25 cashback. This took me to the plusnet site and down the bottom there is an option to select their unlimited broadband package. I chose this and the page indicates that I'd BB at £4.99 per month for 9 months + £25 cashback. I selected annual line rental saver. But when it displays details of my order, it doesn't show the discount.
I phoned PN and they said that the reduction will only show up AFTER I have paid. I'm puzzled by this one since it's not just cashback, there should be line reduced rental too. Anyone else gone through this?

Don't know anything about this offer, but can recomend plusnet. I have been with them for 8 years ish and have always been pleased with them. (and I like their English customer services)0

Thoroughly recommend plusnet -compared to Talk Talk it's chalk and cheese, or more appropriately sugar and ****. plusnet customer service is excellent and you can understand what they're saying.0

Plusnet isn't great for me. I looked at the great headline broadband offfers & got all excited, only to be told that they didn't apply in rural areas. They did change us onto what was meant to be a better tarriff than the one we'd been on for years, but still keep going over the download limit.
Thinking of changing to BT, to be honest. The cow is of the bovine ilk,

You should look again at Plusnet as I'm rural, market 1, and they have exactly the same packages as BT, Unlimited 16.99 pm (16 on BT so yes BT is a bit cheaper and for new customers you get the 6 months free). I still on my 60GB extra, 17.99 pm so I could save £1 at the cost of going on 12mth contract (BT is 18mth) but it seems better to hang on and see what else comes up.0 -
I'm a rural Plusnet user too. £9.99 pm for unlimited (12 month contract) is pretty good in my book.
I've been with them for a couple of years now and thoroughly recommend them. Was with O2 before that for a month (good customer service but slower than dial-up!) and TalkTalk before that (rip off merchants and absolutely appalling in every sense.)0 -
I have the opposite experience. I agree, PlusNet have good support but their charges are very high compared to TalkTalk and my speed just kept getting slower (I had a business broadband package paying £32 per month). A couple of years ago I was getting about 6Mbps but by the end of last year it was down to around 4Mbps and they were saying it was the best I could expect. I eventually took the plunge. I know TalkTalk get a bad press but I've had no problem with them. I think they have a different support system for business users because it's a British call centre and they are very quick to answer (there was always a lot of hanging on with PlusNet). The switchover was seamless, I pay £9.99 per month and get 11.5Mbps.0

Yeah I was about to do it and saw no discounts shown also ...... no chance of me signing up at full price and then the possible hassle of proving I came via mse. Bit strange.0
