BT nightmare

I have BT infinity. My problem is that I cannot open or send attachments from my BT Yahoo acccount.

BT are a nightmare to communicate with and resolve problems at the best of times but this is proving to be something else. Conversations with their call centres are farcical, no one has a clue what is going on other than to keep telling me 'it's being escalated, wait 48 hours' and so it goes on - I have now been waiting since the 19 January!

I have told them that if they cannot resolve the problem then I would like to cancel my contract without any financial penalty and receive some recompense for what I had to pay to have it installed by the engineer, but they just keep fobbing me off. Tonight I was told that so long as I have a broadband service then it's not a problem. But I think it's unreasonable to expect me to accept the inconvenience of this third rate e mail service.

Can anyone advise on the e mail problem and/or how I stand re the contract termination please?

Switch your email to a decent ISP-independent webmail service such as Gmail? You are not bound to Yahoo just because you are on a BT service.

Yep, what Macman says, it's also unlikely to be the BT fibre service that's at fault here, assuming internet connectivity is working ok.

yes thanks I was considerting this - but I don't really want to change my 2 e mail addresses as that will mean contacting people to let them know, I just think BT should get their act together.

well when I clicked on his user name it takes me to the BT community forum (which I have already used) not an individual called 'David'. His response is just typical BT just send you round in circles.
