Spam email help

Options
Hi i just got the following email while i know its spam it is threatening and has kicked my anxiety off is there anyone i can report the email too??

Am very sorry for you my friend, is a pity that this is how your life is going to end as soon as you don't comply. As you can see there is no need of introducing myself to you because I don't have any business with you, my duty as I am mailing you now is just to KILL/ASSASINATE you and I have to do it as I have already been paid for that.

Someone you call a friend wants you Dead by all means, and the person have spent a lot of money on this, the person also came to us and told me that he want you dead and he provided us with your name, picture and other necessary information's we needed about you. So I sent my boys to track you down and they have carried out the necessary investigation needed for the operation on you, and they have done that but I told them not to kill you that I will like to contact you and see if your life is Important to you or not since their findings shows that you are innocent.

I called my client back and ask him of you email address which I didn't tell him what I wanted to do with it and he gave it to me and I am using it to contact you now. As I am writing to you now my men are monitoring you and they are telling me everything about you.

Now do you want to LIVE OR DIE? As someone has paid us to kill you. Get back to me now if you are ready to pay some fees to spare your life, If you are not ready for my help, then I will carry on with my job straight-up.

WARNING: DO NOT THINK OF CONTACTING THE POLICE OR EVEN TELL ANYONE BECAUSE I WILL KNOW. REMEMBER, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS YOU VERY WELL WANT YOU DEAD! I WILL EXTEND IT TO YOUR FAMILY, INCASE I NOTICE SOMETHING FUNNY.

DO NOT COME OUT ONCE IT IS 7:30PM UNTIL I MAKE OUT TIME TO SEE YOU AND GIVE YOU THE TAPE OF MY DISCUSSION WITH THE PERSON WHO WANT YOU DEAD AFTER YOU HAVE COMPLIED WITH MY DEMANDS, THEN YOU CAN USE IT TO TAKE ANY LEGAL ACTION. GOOD LUCK AS I AWAIT YOUR REPLY

Yahoo will expect you to forward the email with headers, and then they don't seem to do much (I've tried this route before with spammers).

It is a variant on a 419 advance fee fraud. If you take it seriously and respond, they will just become more threatening and demand more insistently. If you are daft enough give them anything, they will seek to extract more.

So ignore it or take it to the police.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

So they know ALL about you yet don't use your name or give any proof, leave a paper trail with their name on? Rubbish gangster. :rotfl:

Report to the police and send to Yahoo. Sorry to hear your anxiety has been triggered. In the future don't open any e-mails from people you don't now.

Visit scamwarners.com, where you will find many similar reports and a load of background information which you may find useful. This 'format' (type of scam) is typical of bottom-end West African scammers and even amongst the West African* scammers, 'hitman' formats are seen as the lowest rung for talentless scammers. They're just plain thuggery and email muggings.

Sorry to hear of your distress, but remember it is nothing personal, these guys will hit up anyone and everyone, and certainly are nowhere near you.

    * The numbers do bear this out, West Africa seems to be the email scam capital of the world http://www.419eater.com/scamtracker/, principally Nigeria. I'm sure that's a shock to no-one, but I prefer to back up such assertions.

They created an email of Killer_Agent36? using the Rocketmail extension??

Not even the first person to create an email address like that!

This is the most disgusting of the scams out there, and I have heard of a lot of people this has happened to.

The anxiety you feel is natural, but they definitely know nothing about you. Is that what your anxiety is based on?

This email will have been sent to many in one go. They'll only be interested in any responses they get in whatever capacity that response is, so as you've sent nothing back you'll drop off their list of people to contact. They've made it as shocking as possible in the hope someone will panic and send an immediate response to find out more details.

I read once about a guy who reversed a 419 scam making the person asking for money do all sorts. Including photographing himself with 2 loaves in his hand and a fish on his head - something along those lines. I read it but forget the smaller details. But the fella complied with the photo request and it went on for months until they eventually sent a nasty email about feeling like he was being scammed and giving up. He sounded really annoyed that he'd been conned when he'd set out to do the conning.

Google 419eater.com - that's where you may have seen that example, and they're very funny :D
