I was paid by the hour as an internet assessor for LB...

I wasn't talking about the internet assessor role. That is paid hourly. The question was about the crowdsourcing which is paid per task.

    Hi melf1nn -

I haven't been in the position with LF of being over the time allotted, but I would say that having been in that position with LB and having read lexilex's experiences with LF on this thread it seems to me that if you yourself don't adjust your times so that in total over the month you're at or within the allotted time for the total number of tasks you've completed then they are likely to refer the invoice back to you to make that adjustment. So, in the interests of saving time, it would be better to adjust the time before you submit the invoice.

I was just wondering what other people do if overall at the end of the month they have been too slow. Do you invoice for the time it took or do you deduct the excess?

I don't do it as a monthly thing. At the end of a session, if I am over time I adjust the time for that session.

Thought I'd pop in and say hello!

Thanks Lexilex for posting this thread - it came at a great time for me! I'm another ex LB worker, and now work full-time but was looking for ways to make extra money as we have debts to pay off and want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

Passed the test and started just over a week ago and have done nearly 7 hours so far, but the NRT seems to be increasing - had less than 10 minutes of work this morning before it disappeared again and yesterday wasn't good either :(

Really hope the amount of work increases soon! Also dreading the quality ratings - hoping they're going to be OK! Have a good day all! :)

Yes it's a job but you have to register as self employed with HMRC and do your taxes for it. It's very easy to do though.

    Hi,

Right now I'm in the UK as a resident however we will be going on a tour of SE Asia in July. Does anyone know if there are restrictions on your physical location for this job? Does work come in at any hour of the day or is it usually a 08:00 start? (thinking about time zone differences!).

Will be travelling for a year & have more than enough saved up not to work, however doing something will look good on the CV and keep me sharp.

How important is a fast connection for the work?

    Joe.

    Hi jojo90 -

LF agents are not allowed to work outside their country of residence.

(I dont think LB have this rule - I remember one webinar attendee saying she was on holiday in another country.)
