Really not happy and need to rant!

I've just checked my emails and they are saying my invoice needs revising... by 8 hours!!

I'm fuming. I keep a record of everything luckily - Task title, task info, time started, time finished and expected time it should take, so I know everything is right.

This on top of having no work in 10 days now, and that they totally ignore my emails, is just the final straw.

    Give me Lionbridge any day!!

Oh no. Not surprised you are fuming. Can you send them your record of the work you've done?

When I first did my invoice I noticed before I submitted (luckily) that the total hours didn't match my spreadsheet and I'd accidentally selected PM instead of AM on one of the entries which put me out by loads - any chance you could have done something like that? Easy to do on those drop down thingies. Or the conversion to PST - was confusing last month with the clocks changing? I'm sure you have already checked all this, just hoping there is a simple explanation so you will be paid for all the work you did!

Wish there was a safe place where UK raters could talk openly.

I am going to get cleaned up then go through each date they're saying is wrong. It's 6 mins here, 12 mins there. I wish there was a phone number, because they take so long to reply to emails, and with the time difference it takes even longer!

I think we can talk as much as we like as long as we don't name tasks. On most the forums I've had a nosey at they just give them nicknames!

I've just had my first invoice approved.........I listed task types and number of each type on the invoice, together with start/stop times. I agree that LB was much simpler!!!

Not surprised you are fuming, I would be too.

I am still getting work but the task they say i am terrible at so bit reluctant to do it incase i get bad ratings again. I was with LB for 11 months and always got 4 or 5 stars so not really sure where i have gone wrong. I have tried the practice ones but they are too much for the US raters and don't really help :(

    Missing LB so much easier!

Lexilex - I was just wondering if you have been logged out of the toolbar when you've been working which is why there is a discrepancy. It's happened to me on a couple of occassions when for some reason I seem to have been automatically logged out but at least you have kept a good record so hopefully they will approve your timesheet in the end.

I was reading chat last night and there were some comments from some raters on there complaining that they haven't had any work since the Monday before last so you aren't alone. It appears they too have been asking why but haven't yet had a response either. Hopefully you will hear something about that soon too.

I still have very little work and I am beginning to wonder if it is because I took the old qualification. I'm really hoping it picks up for us all soon.

I always log in, there's been a couple of times where I have forgot to log out but I always record the time I finished work and put that on the invoice.

I have been having internet issues, in fact the engineer has just left, but I am sure all the work I have invoiced for was submitted. Even if I had wrongly assumed this on a couple of occasions, there's just no way there's 8 hours worth of unsubmitted work.

I do feel better knowing it's not just me with no work. I emailed quality again this morning (might as well have it out with all of them on the same day) just to ask whats going on. Will have to wait and see if I get a reply, but I won't be holding my breath...

I hope you managed to get sorted lexilex, keep us updated as this could well happen to us too.

I know we have all been moaning about the lack of work, I was wondering if we are OK to say how much time we are invoicing for March, I'm not sure this will be helpful to everyone but should give a snapshot of what work there's been.

For example I started at the begining of March and have less than 3 hours on my invoice. The majority of my work has been the odd 5 mins here, 10 minutes there. I've not had a solid block of work since I started.

How are others getting on? If we aren't allowed to post this information let me know and I will edit this message.

    Thanks again

I got 5.58 hours for March Desidoh. I've mainly had just a few minutes here and there too. (I had 3 minutes today!)

Let us know how you get on Lexilex - I'm keeping everything crossed for you!

I had one minute short of 10 hours in March. I started on 2nd March and over a third of my hours was in the first 3 days. There were only 2 other days when I logged over one hour, most days were less than 30mins and often under 5. Pretty depressing.

I started mid March and managed just over 20 hours. I had a couple of days when there were a few hours available - other times it was just minutes at a time.
