I had over an hour on Monday, only 5 minutes yesterday (in 3 chunks!) and nothing so far today.

Are we capped after poor reviews? And is the work-rate any different for those who took the more recent exam?

I do believe there is a cap after bad reviews but I don't think LF would admit that.
  • I started Friday and got 4.75 hours over the weekend and nearly an hour on mon. Didn't do any yesterday because I'd done a night shift and was shattered - there were tasks there though. Gonna try and do some more tonight

I just started last week, and after a slow start, and errors for a couple of days, things have started to pick up. I had a good evening the other night too, and also managed a couple of hours yesterday . Seems a bit slower today though.

Is there a forum other than that chat thing?

Hi all - I've been reading your comments and tips and have found them really useful, especially tips like the check for change tab and rateraide, what a timesaver!

My query is around invoicing. I have just submitted my first invoice for March. Being new I was just using pen and paper for most of the month and hadn't noted the AET and number of tasks I had completed. Foolishly I thought we just needed to record the time and the toolbar did the rest.

Anyway I've got a message to revise my invoice, saying that my productivity is 86% of target, which isn't too bad considering how poorly I was recording my time! As it's my first invoice, any suggestions on how I should amend it?
I'm thinking of reducing the time spent on the longer tasks? I'm hoping I won't need to alter it too much as I know they make allowances when you're new.

I've now learnt my lesson and create a new invoice line each time I do some work based on rateraide, shame I get so much NRT!

    Thanks for your help :)

I think 86% is within the margin for new raters? Might be worth mentioning that you are new - I've read other people doing that and then their invoice gets approved.

I haven't been making note of anything other than start and stop time. I've got a spreadsheet where I note down the time I start and stop each time so I have got a running total of hours and rough idea of pay which I can then transfer to the invoice. Your post prompted me to check and my invoice has just been approved (yay!) - really thought I'd have to amend it as I thought I'd taken too long at times.

Really not happy and need to rant!

I've just checked my emails and they are saying my invoice needs revising... by 8 hours!!

I'm fuming. I keep a record of everything luckily - Task title, task info, time started, time finished and expected time it should take, so I know everything is right.

This on top of having no work in 10 days now, and that they totally ignore my emails, is just the final straw.

    Give me Lionbridge any day!!

Thanks caitchbee, I will add a note to my invoice and re-submit, after checking the policy as long as it isn't below 85% I should be OK.

As for completing invoices from now, I'm assuming we should only be invoicing for the AET for each task x number of tasks completed, allowing for a small margin?

lexilex - I can't believe there's such a discrepancy, surely something must be wrong at LF end? It makes my query trivial in comparision.
I really hope you get it sorted and they start responding to your emails.

    Thanks

    Thanks!

I really hope it's something at their end. I've offered to send them all the information I have but I am really panicking, because it's such a huge amount of hours.

Now I will have to wait for days again to hear something.

I just don't understand why everything seems to be so difficult at LF. I was with LB for over 11 months, and my time sheet was never rejected, and I am recording it exactly the same.
