Hi, I've just been let go as an Ads Assessor from Lionbridge - they say due to circumstances beyond their control they have no immediate or future need for such a position.
Anyway I was thinking of applying to LeapForce - has anyone else made the move over? Is it similar? Should I declare I've worked for Lionbridge recently if asked?
Thanks guys in advance.
I have worked for LB before LF. It was no issue at all. Many raters have worked for all 3 of the rating companies. I am always upfront and honest about it when I apply.0 -
I just applied for Leapforce, and did not make a secret of having worked for ABH and Lionbridge previously. AFAIK it's mainly the other two companies who are known for occasionally stopping an application due to prior experience.0

I've been working for LF for about 4 months now and I've just been invited to take an application test for a Search Engine Evaluator at another company, that I have previously done other work for.
The company is not one of the 'main 3' Search Engine Evaluation companies, that are discussed on here, but it is a very big company listed on NYSE. The client is different to Leapforce's and the same as Appen so it is likely possible to work for LF and this company. Minimum requirements are 10hrs/week and the maximum is 25 hours. Pay is also more than the 'main 3' companies.
Looks like a really good opportunity, I'll set up a thread when I've fully been through the NDA.
Also the work can be done whenever you choose, which would be a big relief, and payment is in GBP so no annoying exchange rate fluctuations.0 -
If it is the same client as Appen, I'm pretty sure LF and their client will have an issue with you working both for them and their competitor.
It's a risk I wouldn't take.0 -

Hiya. Is there any reason why you can't name the company? Seems like both LB and Appen have lost a number of contracts recently, so was wondering whether opportunities might start popping up elsewhere.. I've already worked for LB and Appen, and LF won't respond to my applications. Really need to find something, as I've had no money coming in since I got fired from my job with Appen in April..0 -

I don't know what's in the NDA yet, I haven't received it, so I don't know what I can and can't disclose. I haven't posted a name of the company so I can't get in trouble for associating the info I wrote with it, but I'm just being cautious. I'll post once I get it, should be within a week. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure the opportunity won't be going anywhere for a while.0 -

OK, thanks.
And think I've found the info elsewhere now, anyway.0 -

I'm in the middle of studying for the exam and I have a few questions for people who currently work, or have worked at LF
I'm in the middle of reading all of this material for the exam. I keep hearing people talk about a simulator but I don't know where to access that. If it in the email or do I have to log into Leapforce and access it from there? Is using the simulator part of the exam or just as a means to study?
Also, how many hours is it possible to rack up weekly? I'm in the U.S,. Does the work you get depend on the state you live in or the country?
In the U.S how often is there no work to be done?0 -
I am pretty sure you can't access the sims until you have passed the exam and started working.
There's usually always loads of work for US raters.0
