Some banks charge to receive international money transfers irrelevant of the currency. The only account we currently have with a bank who don't charge is with Santander, but western union are having trouble with the account details Santander have given me and Santander are insisting the details are correct so I am stuck.

Well HSBC hasn't charged me, I would assume all the charges occur at Western Union?0

Any one heard about renewals yet? Thought we would have by now0

I'm not due for renewal til the middle of next month, but I think lexilex might be up for renewal soon?
I've just had a review score for the 3rd type of Unacceptable - pretty galling as the scores for the other types were both EE. Unfortunately there's no individual feedback on the site so I expect I'll be hitting the sims and writing grovelling emails....0 -

No its at the bank themselves, some, it would appear most don't charge. Some RBS/Natwest etc do. Or at least their website and staff say they do. Will see what/if I get charged when the cash goes in.
But at least I now know HSBC,Nationwide and Barclays don't charge.
Will have to look into opening an account with one of them, don't want another current account though, just a savings account.

Just a quick question - How long should I give myself for the exam? Have spent about 6 hours studying the guidelines. Was going to give myself all of Mon and Tue for the exam or is this too little time. So stressed!!0

As much time as you can. The more you study and the more you eliminate the risk of rushing the more likely you will pass. It has a very high failure rate.
Good luck!0 -
