Which company has filed the ccj? I take it is a debt collecting agency or one of their solicitors?

Is it worth writing to them asking for copies of all the documents they will be relying on in court?

At the minimum

Signed credit agreement

Notice of default.

They expect you to roll over and pay up. Let's make life difficult for them.

Or would this negate the statute barred defence?

No, ignore that. At this stage the defence is enough with getting bogged down.

As the debt is statute barred, the only defence the OP needs is that it is SB.

Sadly if he does not defend the case, the CCJ could be issued. They could easily be overturned but it is better to defend robustly.

Then report them to the OFT.

Relax, it's statute barred, you submitted your defence...it's all good. Just wait. If it goes through and the CCJ is awarded, its not the end of the world, it can be overturned.

Chill
