    Give it up.
All you have is the account number of a loan with no PPI attached.
    ?

Thank you for your help. I wish that HSBC could be as certain as you in stating that no PPI was attached, then you wouldn't have to suffer reading my hopelessly 'futile' posts about this, for which I apologize profusely.

HSBC are as certain as you are, it's now very obvious that this thread is just a wind up.

    Bye.:T

I'm sorry you think my request for help, advice & shared experiences is a 'very obvious wind up'. I don't really think you believe this.
Reading back, most of your responses all seem to be equally as dismissive to my questions, without containing any real substance.

I'm sure though the reason for this is that financial experts like your self, must get bored of clueless minions like me and my stupid questions. I'll let you get back to counting your millions, but I am grateful for your input and help.

Before you do that, can you tell me why HSBC won't confirm if PPI was attached to my loan, when they have the account and sort code? I genuinely want to know this...apologies again for being so stupid and asking a fellow chap for advice. I hope we don't get the stage where we pick up on each others spelling and punctuation mistakes!

The account number and sort code may be all that exists. That sort of information will not be destroyed. However, the sort code and account number doesnt confirm whether PPI was on the account or not.

It isnt that sort of website. ;)
