^^ nooo probs mate......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
that's where you need to be
the blue writing in the above screenshot is a link to be able to change the network type - on yours, click public/unidentified and change to Home network, and you'll get a house instead of a park bench......
I don't have the blue link text you refer to.
The only blue / link text is the 'Connect or disconnect' and just below that I have blue / link text 'Wireless Network Connection (xxxxxxxxx)
Where you have 'Home network' in blue / link text under the 'View your active networks' I have 'Public network' but it s not blue / link text so cannot click it.
Where you have a house I have a park bench and if I click this I get a new pop up window with 'Type a network name and choose an icon' but I cannot update the value anyway.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Well, I continued investigating and tried all sorts including some 'Mr Fix It' from Microsoft and 'netsh' resetting IPv4/6 DNS etc, etc without any joy.
Any how, do you know how I fixed it........ I turned my router off / on and allowed the laptop to re-acquire the network. That in itself didn't completely resolve the issue but...... in the 'View your active networks' the blue / link text was present allowing me to click it and select it as a 'Home' network - oh joy of joys! :rotfl:Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
