Why come on here venting and only telling half the story?

I have not told any story, just published a letter I wrote to Ringtons.

Actually, I live in a no cold-calling area and the council's instructions to us when they created the area, were to notify the police and trading standards of companies breaching the rules.

There are valid reasons for doing so, that cannot be published on this forum.

    Unlike car registration numbers.

    He's got you there :D
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

You reported a tea seller to the police for attempting to sell you tea? Jesus Christ, no wonder the police don't have time to investigate real crime.
  • Was he carrying an urn?

I wholeheartedly support this zero-tolerance stance on the doorstep selling of tea.

I have just received a phone call from the manager of the local Ringtons branch. He accepts that his agent should not have called at my home as it was bearing a notice not to call and that by ignoring the notice it may constitute a criminal offence. He said he would have a word with the agent in the morning.

I now consider the matter closed.
