well, just had a trial with the new chair, and whilst it's not 100%, it's a big big improvement.
Here's a pic- complete with footrest.
Compared to the old one
Plus they are going to order the comfy seat, so that I don't have to sit in the hammock which is another part of the problem with the original one.
The seat clips onto the frame.
Finally I might get back to doing what I am employed to do.
Of course though that all depends on how long it takes for the employer to order it (never a good thing when money becomes involved) and have them installed (they rent this building)
Also had a meeting with the Pain Dr today and I think we might have made some progress.
I explained how the pain has continued to increase and how my GP has added Oramorph to my meds.
Pain Dr is desperate for me to come off Morphine but appreciates that I am stuck between a rock and a hard place with regards to being able to control pain enough to keep in work.
I asked about alternative meds and asked about Tapentadol, LDN and Sativex.
Tapentadol has been booted by Greater Manchester health board meaning it is currently unavailable, but this is being challenged by a couple of Doctors. He said he will look into it more and keep me informed.
He is however happy to le me be the guinea pig if he can get it prescribed.
LDN- he spoke to a colleague who said Naltrexone isn't available in the UK.
Sativex- The Doctor was most intreagued by this. He has never prescribed it, but he seemed interested in the idea.
Upon speaking with his colleague it seems it will not be prescribed until every single other drug option has been taken, tried and rejected, and even then it may still not be approved due to cost.
I have been prescribed most things in the past 5 years, from codeine, Morphine, Fentanyl, Buprenorphine, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline, but he says I would even have to try such drugs as Ketamine (as a last resort) before the PCT would even consider Sativex.
He's going to help get me some more psychotherapy/counseling sessions from our next appointment. He can't do t now as I'm in the middle of receiving 6 sessions of counseling from work.
He also said he can get me hypnotherapy on the NHS, but not acupuncture.
I go back in June so hopefully something can be sorted then.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

That is good news.
Who did you apply to, please?Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -
