It's finally here. 6 months after I first applied.

By now every blue badge holder in the district will have heard there is a new bay and it will be full most of the time.

That's a bit more good news.

Found out that they are bringing in a demonstrator next Wednesday at 10am.

It's all happening at the moment.

All I need now is either to get the promotion I am applying for, so I can use the extra salary to work term time only (which will mean I get breaks from work every 6 weeks which should help with managing my problems)

    OR

Get my employer to agree to at least 2/3 days working from home, or working at an office closer to home.

    Wouldn't suprise me.

They're in the process of digging up the local bypass which was only resurfaced 12 months ago to lay new electrcity mains.

If only there was somebody in carge of planning these things.:p

evac chairs are scarey, very, very scarey and I will never get into one again unless flames are visable and I can feel some heat for them!

I am not heavy, I am just over 11 stone now yet alongside the weight of the evac chair two great big blokes found us heavy and cumbersome to carry on the flat never mind several flights of stairs in an emergency.

I'm sure they are, but dori2o has been required to use a completely unsuitable one for drills at work. So I'm glad they've at least found one for him to try out!

They are all totally unsuitable in my experiance and every fire marshall I have encountered has felt the same, evac chairs are as dangerous as the emergency!
