All I can say is, avoid PC world, I have just wasted 2 hours of my time trying to get hold of 2 of the individual handsets. I checked stock online first thing this morning and it was showing availability at the Cardiff branch so I booked 2 for collect in store. I live in Newport so the store is about 25mins drive away for me. I got to the store for 9.50am, went to the 'collect in store' point and gave my reference number. I then waited 15mins for them to try to find these phones, surprise, surprise with no success! They then told me they were out of stock, and that they had 3 in stock in Newport! (Which had shown as out of stock when I had checked previously, hence my trip to Cardiff). I asked them to ring up first and check that this was actually in stock before I had another wasted journey. Again surprise, surprise no stock available. I had now been in the store for 50mins, and resigned myself to the fact that the phone wasn't available, I played on the fact that I had made a special journey to the store because of the offer, but all the manager could offer me was £5 off a £40 phone, which is not much of a bargain really!!
I have now just got home, and rung their customer service line, and been told that their T & C's state that they cannot gaurantee stock even though you can reserve the item. This may be my own fault for not reading the T & C'd clearly but what is the point of a system that allows you to reserve stock that doesn't exist?
Any advice on the next step I can take, or do I just write this morning off as a bad experience??

i fel you have been hard done by
at least they could have offered you an alternative price match product

guess their customer servces isnt up to scratch

similar thing happened yesterday but i was offered two of these for the same price

I have had these phones for a couple of years now, they are good quality. The coverage is perfect thoughout my house and into the garden.
In my experience, coverage isn't the problem - the audio quality as heard at the other end of the line is. So you may never know how bad they are.

WARNING - DECT phones carry the same government warning as mobiles, ie it is not safe to use them for more than 2 years!

Rubbish. They produce a tiny amount of radio frequency radiation - much less than a mobile phone. And where's this government warning? Don't you mean children under 2 years shouldn't use them?
