The sound quality at both ends of the call seems to be fine, good range, just like any other Dect phone these are GAP compatible so will link to other GAP compatible base units. You can choose 1 of 3 rings tones, and set the ring and phone volume. These are UK units with a UK support number.

This is a great spot if you can grab one of these phones. PC World couldn't confirm how many are left in stock but simply add it to your basket and then enter your postcode to find the stock. If you find any, post below to report to other MoneySavers.

Link of course should be https://www.pcworld.co.uk and not https://www.pcworld.com that the above link is pointing to.

They may be cheap, but are they any good? How is the sound quality, is this a really good buy, thinking as a present for a friend?

These have been this price for over a week, so it's not really surprising that stock has run out at most stores.

I didn't start a separate thread on them at the time because I wasn't sure they were such a brilliant bargain, given the lack of evidence about the quality of these phones.

All I can say is, avoid PC world, I have just wasted 2 hours of my time trying to get hold of 2 of the individual handsets. I checked stock online first thing this morning and it was showing availability at the Cardiff branch so I booked 2 for collect in store. I live in Newport so the store is about 25mins drive away for me. I got to the store for 9.50am, went to the 'collect in store' point and gave my reference number. I then waited 15mins for them to try to find these phones, surprise, surprise with no success! They then told me they were out of stock, and that they had 3 in stock in Newport! (Which had shown as out of stock when I had checked previously, hence my trip to Cardiff). I asked them to ring up first and check that this was actually in stock before I had another wasted journey. Again surprise, surprise no stock available. I had now been in the store for 50mins, and resigned myself to the fact that the phone wasn't available, I played on the fact that I had made a special journey to the store because of the offer, but all the manager could offer me was £5 off a £40 phone, which is not much of a bargain really!!
I have now just got home, and rung their customer service line, and been told that their T & C's state that they cannot gaurantee stock even though you can reserve the item. This may be my own fault for not reading the T & C'd clearly but what is the point of a system that allows you to reserve stock that doesn't exist?
Any advice on the next step I can take, or do I just write this morning off as a bad experience??
