Is the seller a commercial or a private seller?0

Hi,
The seller is a business seller, it says "sole trader" and has a VAT number in the "about" seller description on Amazon.
As for electronic items only lasting 18 months, having worked in the CE industry recently, I am more than surprised and a little worried for the planet!
As my earlier communication was in good faith I did it via normal email rather than Amazon. I imagine this may have been a mistake and it should have all been via Amazon, with hindsight. I was taken in by the "means you are covered in the event of a fault".
I have learnt some lessons here, I am still curious as to how you can send an internet purchase back and ensure the seller does not just say it was damaged by me before it was posted?
regards,

I've just had a tablet die after only nine months, Amazon don't want to know and the seller claims that there was only a six month guarantee. Trading standards have fobbed me off onto Citizens Advice. The seller has offered to take a look for £19 + whatever the repair cost is. (Kind of them)
The problem is that the DC charger module internally has come away from the Motherboard. I flagged the charger not fitting properly as an issue when the Tablet was purchased and they sent me a charger with a longer 'nib'. I believe that this has caused the DC charger to come away.
This appears to be a known issue:

Nine months, for £90.
The seller is A1CS / F5CS
I think SOG should cover this, but nobody will help.
I will never buy electrical from Amazon Marketplace again.0 -
Nobody will help??I think SOG should cover this, but nobody will help.
I thought you were directed towards Citizens Advice.
Didn't the Citizens Advice website help?
What help do you need?
Why not send the seller a letter before action and follow the small claims court route from there if necessary?

They also have a consumer helpline on 08454 040506
OP, TS did not fob you off, they do not deal with individual complaints.0
