Ive sold quite a few things to poles recently and not had any problems.
I would do so again in the future.

    Hi,
My family live in Poland, I was born here in the UK and speak Polish.
Just to let you know that the area of Poland is genuine, if that is your concern. You may of heard of Szczecin or Stettin which is part of that "county" on the German border and the Baltic sea to the north.

    hope that helps you.

    Does that help

How do you pronounce Szczecin by the way? I have always wondered. I pronounce it Stettin but suspect that this is the "old" pronunciation.

    Hi.

I don't post replies very often- though I am quite a frequent visitor to these forums.

I do feel it would be a mistake to refund this buyer's money and ask that they pay by transfer instead. I say this because such a request would annoy me if I was your buyer.

Ebay relies on a certain amount of trust- at the end of the day this guy has sent you money using paypal and is trusting you to send an item. I understand you suspect that this could be a scam because of uncertainties about sister's address being used and low feedback.

    However I would send without too much doubt for these reasons;
    - He has some feedback, a good sign.
    - He has actually sent you money via paypal- I've sold approx 130 items on ebay and not yet had a charge back.
    - The story is plausible
    - I would not expect a scam to involve a £50 camera, especially on where the scammer has gone through the trouble of maintaining a semi-decent ebay account for some time.

However I can't be certain it's not some kind of scam.

This is a scam that I was a 'victim' of which involved sending items to strange addresses. I don't know what it was called but it relied on the discrepancy between the cheapest price an item can go for on ebay and the highest price. It normally used new 'hot' items- in my case I was genuinely selling an i-pod photo- the latest thing at the time.

The scammer sells the item at the highest possible price and then attempts to get one cheaper. He then asks the seller of the cheaper item to send it to his buyer- pocketing the difference.

This is the only scam I can think of that involves sending item to a different address, and would really only work- if at all- with high value items that are very common on ebay.

Hope that helps- but in the end it's true that you should only do what you're comfortable with.
