    Midwinter,

    Hope you've had a nice relaxing day with DS away from all the stresses of work.

    So pleased it was a lovely sunny day:)

    Thank you TM :)

    Was a lovely day indeed, although a long one!

    Managed to find DS1 & his housemates, some of the £1 packs of beans at an A's en route, gratefully received of course.

    2 of them had walked 2 miles to their nearest A's yesterday, and there were none there :( So it was good to be able to help them out :)

    Night night everyone

    I hope it's a bit of a turning point and the end of the love affair the British public have for ready meals. We need to focus less on price and more on quality........
    Hopefully a boost for the local butchers etc. I try to avoid most processed food these days but it's sometimes difficult to avoid unless you keep your own animals and grow everything yourself::eek:

    Take something like porridge oats for example which is a "processed food" by virtue of the fact that when we get the packaged raw oats it's not only been ground (fair enough) but refined, rolled and has already been cooked. Not that I'm saying it ranks alongside meat that has been minced and carted across many borders before it is processed:cool:

    Wonder how much of it is actually chicken.

    Could be a bit like pork pies, hot dogs etc where they scrape up everything on the floor....
    That's where all the flavour comes from :D
    I believe flavour's short for floor-savour.:beer::D
