I think we are fine with joints, chops steaks etc. it's the ready made meal market where the problems lie. I make all my own stuff -usually- so not too concerned for myself.

I agree but find it amazing that some people think that buying from the butcher means that beef sausage or pork or whatever you buy only has that meat, most butchers make their own sausages but do not clean the mincer between batches, so a tiny cross contamination will occur, it won't harm you but does happen .

    Thank you very much. :)

I collect vodka and Whisky. I've done the shops in Inverness and there wasn't much there. I can get most Whisky that I want, it's my vodka collection that I'm looking to expand.

If anyone lives near any good shops that sells miniatures keep me in mind.

    My currant vodka collection...

I bought 2 x Dettol Anti-Bacterial Surface Cleanser (500ml) DETTOL - 2 FOR £2 from Asda & it's showing as £1 confirmed on Quidco clicksnap. I bought 2 as it was cheaper than 1 but was only expecting 50p back but it appears to have picked up the 2. Really pleased as it looks like it'll work out as £1 for 2.

One of my tosco recs has 2 Dettol sprays on it at £1.50 - I don't think it's the correct version though - have to check the picture

Also found 2 bottles of coke on another rec

Um, I'm not so sure. We may assume it's ready meals, but - part of my point was maybe it could be much wider and how do we know if we're not testing other meats - perhaps it's also fresh meat. Although there is the 'taboo' against horsemeat in this country and I detect that some or many people would be aghast and have objections to having found out they've been consuming horse, also perhaps there is, in some quarters, less concern now than would have been so, say, 10 years ago (given that many people are travelling abroad and may have encountered these things and wondered why there is such a problem here). In the U.S., my perception is, it's even greater a taboo.

Horses do look 'friendly' creatures and I would have been aghast to consume horse twenty or so years ago - indeed would never knowingly have done so, then or (probably) now. However, as regards being concerned, it's arguably only a real concern if things such as the painkiller bute manage to cause danger to people consuming the meat, or cases of unregulated antibiotics etc. possibly being used in an illegal trade situation.

I know that the enviromental health have checked all the game dealers that are local to me, and that type of business has no other meats going through the premises such as beef or pork so looks like they are looking at all raw meat handlers.

Put a wee dot beside each one before scanning and you will get money for both if they are correct product:D

why do we have ta give quidco a £5 fee when tcb are free?

Do I remember correctly from someone posting that the cashback from clicknsave is outside of your normal cashback, so doesn't get affected by the £5 yearly fee taken from earnings?

Don't definitely know why Quidco have to levvy the £5 compared to the TCB fee free other than the fact(?) that quidco doesn't carry ads.
I've used quidco for about 5 years now (~ £2000 CB so far) and have only been using TCB for about six months. I've never had a problem with CB tracking or payment on quidco but have had quite a few on TCB that either don't track or the CB is declined for no obvious reason
