  • This tcb and quid'o scan and save is great. Scanned in £19.60 from wombles today andstill need to have a heinz beans checking session now I have barcode.:)
More bananas on receipts than I can cope with:eek:

Still got about 80p to put in shoptize and had a total womble score of £1.14
So amazingly for me if everything tracks ok I am looking at £21.54.
More than 6 months totals judging by how badly I have been doing this year.

Thank you David for directing us to the new saving on quid'o and tcb.
    V x

How long did it take you to do all that scanning?

    Good evening all
I was going to post a little story of what happened to me a couple of weeks ago in T's but I didn't want to start a debate about how I probably did the wrong thing by not going back. I have not been back to the store for over two weeks and not sure I will be stepping in there for a while yet.
Now feels like it may be the right time to tell all as quite a few seem to be fed up of the way you are not actually treated like a person, let alone a customer in their stores.

Wuld love to hear it if you are happy to share.

  • Sorry had to go see to kids.

I went for a normal shop, picked up whoopsies, spent more than usual as needed quite a bit and shopping came to about £95. I had picked up twenty five of the small packets of ariel stain remover at 69p (this was the first time I had seen them and last day to use the £1.50 coupon, so thought I'd try my luck) was hoping to get quite a bit off my shopping from those. Picked youngest SA I could. She tries scanning first coupon and wouldn't work, probably because the coupon was worth more than the product. She calls over supervisor and I sigh as I now know I will most likely not get any extra off my shopping.

Supervisor says recall transaction and sort it at cs. Off we go to cs and she leaves me there with the cs staff. After some faffing around at cs trying to ring person from dept etc..another member of staff comes along and has a look and says, oh these coupons are only one per transaction. All this had taken a while and what happened next I have to say my mind was not there, as OH had taken kids to car and I was tired. I have since gone over this in my mind over and over and had sleepless nights.
The cs lady opened her till gave me £1.50 and my receipt. And I walked out. It wasn't until much later that I realized that I had not infact paid for my shopping. Now I had the dillema of going back and as it was a cs lady that I had had two large dtds with, I was just too scared. I also read lots of stories about the way they treat normal people that they believe shoplifted on purpose. Innocent people that had forgot to pay and offered, were not treated nicely. I am not in anyway trying to justify my decision not to go back. I am merely giving my reasons.

I was not going to post this at all, as some would say karma will get me for it, and some may say it was karma for me, for all the times I had been overcharged and not known or whatever. I think it may be months before I step in there again. And there it is. Please no moral arguments and please don't slate me.

Are you referring to the Dickens now under House of Fraser?

That has really taken me back to the pre House of Fraser days - Howells and David Evans in Cardiff, either Dingles or Jollys (can't remember which) on Park St in Bristol, Cavendish House in Cheltenham. And I'm sure only a couple of years ago when I was in Skipton their HoF still had the Rackhams. How things change :)

Different one I'm afraid. Dickens was our local big shed independent DIY store equivalent to the likes of B&Q who bought them out and demolished the place so there was no competition:(

Our local Dept store that became House of Fraser was Binns

They probably won't even be aware, they were more intent on not letting you use a voucher.

just an afterthought, how did u get a receipt, are you sure you didn't pay??

But you have made your mind up on me so fair enough. But dont stop posting deals just because of me why should others lose out :o
OK was going to lurk as the last thing I wanted was to be thought of as abusive /bullying.
    Am I going to apologise.
No more than I already have
A few pms later from people that know/get me and I am back a lot quieter obviously as everything that I say will have to be run through my solicitor.
Thanks Flabby, TM and artha :T:T:T
