Supermarket charging full price for reduced items

It still helps a great deal. The offers are at the top of the receipt and it makes it easier to check them at the end before you leave the store.

Put them on last then. If you know the last 7 items were reduced it's easy to look at your receipt and see if 7 reductions have come off before you leave the till.
