Watch out for Tesco's pricing error's, we have been the victim on at least 6 occasions over the last year, it's got to the point were my wife checks each entry on the till receipt before we leave the checkout (apologies for those behind us) It makes you wonder how many people pay more than they should because they don't check.

Would make more sense to go to customer service where you'll get double the difference of their error!0

Over here in Canada, if you have something priced on the shelves at one price and you get charged at another (higher) price, make a quick trip to customer services and if you are right... You get it for free.0

Why would you hold up others in the queue when you'd need to go to customer services for a refund if there was an error?0

This happens in all supermarkets, not just Tesco.
I never leave any shop now without examining my receipt.0 -

It may help to focus the minds of the management if their errors are highlighted and visible to everyone queuing.
These errors are not something that has to happen - at least not at the rate they do in some supermarkets.
I can't remember the last time I encountered a pricing error at my local Tesco (which is very large), whereas when I used a 'Sommerfield' some years ago errors (always in their favour) were a weekly occurrence.
The disparity between various supermarkets appears to show that local management can make a difference to the efficiency of those doing the pricing. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I wonder how many, after checking their receipt, go to customer services and say that they have undercharged?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Many years ago I bought six double sized 1.5 liter bottles of wine for an xmas party that we were having that day. It was premier claret.
After getting back and checking the receipt (office expenses!), I found that thay had charged me for the small bottle rate.
Clearly I was not going back for that as the bottles were empty by then.
So I suppose that it is swings and roundabouts and all works out in the end, she suggests, trying to redress the feeling of guilt over this matter that happened some 20 years ago....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Well apart from the swings and roundabout comments and go to customer services which of course I do, my post is just a warning to other's,,,, oh and by the way it's just happened again, this week."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

Very good point!0 -
It must be pretty rare for anyone to get undercharged at Tesco in any case.0
