Sky dish replacement

Im moving soon, When I move house I would like sky to put a new dish in.
The house currently has a manky old dish that must be 10+years old and their install was awfull with the cable coming in at a random place in the middle of a wall then run around picture rail with no clips or anything (Shocking)
Will they fit a new one as part of their home moving.
Could I just whip the old one off the wall before they come and pretend it was never there

They did when we moved.0 -
Same here, new dish/new cabling despite those already being there.
(Thankfully as they were pretty dated.)Herman - MP for all!

When you call sky to move your services just tell them that you will only stay with them if they replace the dish and wiring - they will due it without any problem (they even take the old dish and cable away)My user name is SkyInsider... I worked for Sky quite some time ago, also worked for Virgin Media and a few other tech companies as a consultant. All views are my own

Even if you are just getting an upgrade you can get a full overhaul.
I got another multiroom and told them I was changing all the rooms in the house.
They agreed to recable completely wherever I wanted as part of the £60 callout and I persuaded the engineer that my dish was a bit bashed up so that was changed as well.0 -
