KC I think I need your autograph...though God love Mr Thomas, years and years married.

Did you ever meet Mr Darrow of the perfect diction?

I *might* have a tumblr blog devoted to him.
    :D

Doesn't surprise me to know he's years and years married - in person, he had that contented look, even through the haze of the adulation around him :D

I don't even have a photo, I bought a line drawing for him to sign, and of course I had to go find it after this :p. He's written:

"With love and thanks and Cheers from Gareth Thomas
(I bet you I am older than you are!)"

I just checked on imdb - he *is* older than I am - its just that he was surprised I caught Blake's Seven on its first run, that's all. But heavens, it was 1978-81, apparently - I was working in London by then!

I think I'd better shut up

ETA (I can never shut up for long) no, never met Paul Darrow, tho I did see him speak at a big London thing, not a Blake's Seven thing.

    Oof! Just lost a post.

Here is the ever wonderful Mr Darrow, recently widowed.

The Wife and Blake is worth a read.

Some of them really really made me laugh.

Been down the field playing ponies and tidying up. Also found my cheque book so able to pay a few bills. Moderation still to do and I have to pack up my first sample.

Cath do you wonder what's the point, though?

    .

Absolutely. I do wonder how people with small children manage to have nice sofas though. I think my 2 are particularly boisterous though. DD has taken to doing handstands and cartwheels when the thought pops in her head - she completely lacks self control.

    My Mum just helpfully said
"Just tell them not to". Has she forgotten she has spent all their lives encouraging them to ignore me?!

Up to eleven hours on the moderation...i think.

So helpful! I do all the right positive parenting stuff but my children are a law unto themselves at times. That certainly would not work with mine!

I would have had to start ten years ago!

Wonder why my house is a mess?

    Lovely!

Cath, how old are your kids? It strikes me that handstands and cartwheels are actually very much about one sort of control ... unless she's knocking stuff off tables when she does them :o Its nice to hear of kids with physical energy, when there's so much written these days about kids stuck in front of computers.

Never had a child myself, though I've lived with a couple of families and been an au pair too - I make no bones about not knowing what its like to be on the sharp end for year after year :o Hope you don't mind me popping in on that ... I'll shut up now.

I second that Cath. At least you know they aren't dull!!

One particular guy at our school is being treated by his paternal in a way that I really don't approve of. All with the best intentions.
