I love Icelandics with their "tolt". I would need a 16hh+ with some build to carry my current weight though.

AS modules, according to DH who knows more than me, can be re sat at the end of y13.

Sunny day here already. My kids are doing Physics today.

DH spent £9 with Mr S.
He has been asked to teach maths which is very exciting. There is a whole world of opportunity if you can teach maths.

I am getting very stressed out by work again.

In other news, I said to DH i was giving up drinking for a while and he wants to join me.

I didn't tell him that I mean longer than he does.
  • Good idea. I should join too. Sorry about the work stress. I hope it doesn't take over your half term. Do take care and don't forget to say no occasionally.

A good maths teacher is a wonderful person, as they can teach children to care about maths, physics, all the engineering sciences etc. etc. :)

I can do that, amazed midwife with % weight calculations. Do they still teach 'mental maths' in schools? Sounds very Trainspotting, I know...

Yep to the mental maths thingy. My dd is in y2 and they do it mentally before writing it down. (I think) And the secondary kiddies have a CD for one of their maths 'tests'. (again, I think! - based on the maths department borrowing my CD players...)

Or I could be talking a load of baloney...

Maybe someone who really knows the answer will chip in...

It is taught, though in DD1'school it wasn't nearly enough.

DH got petrol, NSD otherwise, apart from the cath kidston purchases to set up our office area.

Something mega happened last night, think we found a house and now we really really need a buyer.

We are down to eating the weird stuff in the pantry.

Would you eat mozarella 20 days out of date?
