I feel as if I'm missing out - I've only glanced at MMM

I haven't got too much going on next week - so I think I'll have to make a start on him :)

I love having friends round but like going to stately homes and having cream teas too.
I'm an anti-social tyke at the best of times :o when I'm with friends we go out rather than anything else, except the board games evenings that happen regularly.

He's good! The information is very American, of course, and so are some of the attitudes. He's a bit hardcore on the savings (but then, he's early 30s!). He gives voice to half thought things, which is good, and he has a huge number of comments on most posts, as well as a big forum, which I *haven't* worked my way through :D

You will be fine! think about it like this, its 'only' a roast. Ex partner was a chef and firmly believed in "chefs tipples" i.e. copious amounts of gin, wine, sherry ...anything! By the time the food got to the table he never really cared what the guests thought :)

He had a couple of tips I've always stuck with, first, make sure there is plenty of gravy and that it is really hot. That disguises a lot.

Second, if there really is a disaster, make sure guests have plenty of alcohol. That way they wont notice!

Those two have carried me through many years of cooking without him :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    A day of eating properly.
    A no spend day.
A day that I followed up a job lead.
A day I saved £15 lift sharing with DH.
A day that I applied for DS's school place.

    Could be worse!
