I was part time up until 2 years ago from 1999, 22.5 hours although always picked up extra shifts every month as is the nature of my job. Sometimes you actually aren't as bad off as you think, I'm really glad I had the chance, especially as I had a job share so my career was never put on hold. I managed to do most of my msc as well, last bit unfortunately was whilst being full time.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
2014 GOAL HIT 5 Stone! 2016 GOAL to be a MF marathon runner.

From what I have seen, going part time means being paid part time...but ending up working proportionately more than one's pay.0

If you can't go part time, is there any way of making your work more enjoyable? I wasn't a great fan of teaching, and then moved to a new school, ok its only been 6 weeks, but I have got all my enthusiasm and energy back. Would a change of scene be an option? or something else?
