Just a thought, free-range kiddie rearing (a la Little Static Home On The Prairie kind of thing) could make for much easier potty training? Perhaps sell it to Mr. A that way?

Hi Earthie. Thanks I did. Did you know there is no blue book or burgundy book (I forget which is which) restriction on lesson observations? There was until about a year ago.

£37 spent on a family trip to the dentist. I know how to show them a good time!

Took ponyplops out. Fell asleep sat on a straw bale while DD tacked up.

I am confused - didn't the man from UKIP say that Eastern Europeans had stolen all our construction jobs? ;)

Morning. Seems like change is afoot in a lot of diaries...and lives.

I am going to try to break the back of the moderation today although a couple of hapless places have sent incomplete work.

    Farrier coming this afternoon.
  • Not being a teacher there's lots of stuff I don't understand on your diary, so apologies for questions. What's 'moderation' that you are breaking the back of today?

I always think your life seems so well balanced with your pony - sounds like you all get a lot out of life :)

    Best wishes, Tilly

Aww thanks Tilly. I always feel like I am doing it wrong. Life I mean.

When the students do what used to be called coursework staff in school mark it. Then staff in each school get together to agree on marking standards/strictness. I am working for an exam board (second job!!) And what we do is ask the school for a sample of their coursework and then check they are marking in line with what the exam board thinks.

If they are then all good and we agree their marks. If not then we check another sample and if that is wrong too then the school gets its marks for a given subject adjusted.

I feel sorry for some of the schools because they lack specialist teachers in Science if the school is very small and then it is awfully hard to mark properly.
