Well she had a lovely day thank goodness.
Got ponyplops out and we got soo wet we couldnt get any wetter. Just waiting on dinner and then marking and jobs. Would be a NSD but £277 on oil.

I was so horrified to hear about the near retirement female teacher in Leeds who was (allegedly) murdered today by a 15 year old boy.

Not much doing here but DS is very pleased with his Bob the Builder bedding! Still fighting a rising tide of chaos but DD1 got a 5a on a maths SATs paper today (school say no way she can do better than 4a) and the other two are happy in their new "settings" so I am thankful.

Lovely looking HB Al, my HB stout is now 50% vinegar/50% burnt caramel, so going in the right direct ;)

Have started a double batch of Belgian trippel made with two cans of malt extract and two mahoosive jars of golden syrup. The hydrometer suggested that it could theoretically end up as strong as wine

Thanks for the lovely posts guys.

That poor woman was due to retire in September.

The HB was good...Ed you are very diligent with yours. Impressive.

Having an overloaded meltdown at the moment.

Judicious application of wine to self and my bonhomie is restored.
Patience sorely tested by after school revisers behaving very badly. Money spent on yummy cookies (£12 mr m) and they were grabby and brattish.
Had an exhilarating moment when ponyplops did a charge of the light brigade towards me in the field and I just stood there and looked at her.

    Boo to after school revisers.

HoD reminded me today I am supposed to be spending between now and half term running A2 revision sessions every Thursday lunchtime. Bet hardly anyone turns up, but I shall have to plan something, photocopy resources and turn up.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
