I dont think she appreciated the reply back from me "That she would have to learn to live alone"

Radish I think much better be honest from the outset.
Squirrel you are doubtless right about farmhouses.
So nice to have lots of posts -thank you.
I was going to post proudly about managing the three and the pony at a rally. Indeed all went well though I was getting a bit irritated by DDs spoilt brat routine...then I snapped at her when we got home and I was parking the trailer. She refused to help any more and I lost my temper and sent her to her room.
£12 rally.
DS has chickenpox again...but he is quite cheerful.0 -
I suppose I was quite lucky... while I was at mum's after my father died, some nursing friend of hers looked condescendingly at me and said "but you are moving back to live with your mum now" and both me and mumsie vehemently replied "hell to the NO!"
Mum is getting a bit worriesome now though.... so I might have to go home a lot more often but god love her she wants to fiercely hold on to her independence!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Ah yes... this is true. My all means both my parents were welcome to move in with me - I would have just moved elsewhere!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Whenever they came to Londinium to visit, mum was always at home and dad was like a cat on a hot tin roof!!! Mum reckoned it was the final evidence that his daughter didn't need daddy around and it made him uncomfortable. The fact that he was DREADFUL at DIY was probably more to the point!!!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Oh dear...is that an ominous just wow, like "where is the money savin, you fat !!!!!!! fatter?"
Sorry heard this insult on made in chelsea and had to work it in.
In Taunton today. All three smalls have had their mops chopped. They were then treated to a visit to pets at home. Good free entertainment. DD has been bought uniform for her new primary school. £10 off with nectar points. DS has had aqueous calamine slopped all over him. So far no one has taken me up on my offer to not bring my pox ridden son near them!!
Waiting for DH to decide if he is meeting us for a picnic.0 -
