Happy birthday to mr A. All sounds lovely. I will be 53 next week and I have a twilight training evening so can empathise....Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!

Flipping Mr T supposed to come 9-10 so the fizz arrived befor he did. DH was due at 10.15.
Mr T rang up at ten to say he was somewhere at least 25 min away, could he still come.
I had to say no because it was our one hour together. So no cava.
£40 DH petrol.
Spent £10 tesco. £40 dogsitter. £5 ballet DD2 £5 rally DD1. £10 cash.

I sometimes wonder what Mrs E's folks will do when they retire and whether we might end up doing similar someday.
Not sure about their pensions. They've both talked (half-heartedly?) about starting a business, but TBH they seem to be in love with the reasonably spendy lifestyle that only a regular wage can support.
Some sort of home/business share might be on the table someday once we all stop procrastinating.

I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up cohabiting with my outlaws further on down the line. In theory I think I'd prefer the idea of a granny annexe so that everyone has their own space to escape to.
