AF order arrived today. I have a veggie madras complete with naans and pilau rice in progress and its Friiiidddaaaayyyy.
The smalls are off out for the day tomorrow so DH and I have radical plans to er...take puppylove and ponyplops for a walk and then sleep.
Happy weekends everyone.
Was going to declare a NSD but DH spent £8 on a scrip as still fighting the same ear infection as before Christmas.0 -
Happy weekend Alchemilla, the curry sounds delish!
I've managed to get some housework done, but I suspect that dinner will not be so virtuous :beer:0 -
Happy weekend to you.0

Mmm - curry sounds good
I'm just finishing off the gammon in coca cola recipe :T A new recipe for me - even though i don't eat gammon - it was cheaper than buying cooked ham
Did you get lots of goodies in your AF order? It is someting i've considered trying but my cupboards wouldn't take it at the moment! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Edited highlights...12 soya desserts (packed lunches) for £1.49...Briannas caesar dressing for 40p (good on pasta)....batter mix for shrove tuesday for 13p. I can make it but not for that price....48 cupcakes (packed lunches) for £1.99.
I might regret this but no one challenges me here. Everyone else in the world does, except DH...much...i wonder if anyone is reading thinking "but doesn't she realise if she just did x..."
Anyway if you have comment, don't hold back.0 -
Well, do you realise if you just sold ponyplopps

Yep and moved nearer to work and lost the gas guzzler we could be MF tomorrow...or at least by the summer.
£5 spent on 60 eggs. £40 on dogsitter (lose puppylove as well?).0 -

Surely that's one of the biggest problems with a shared interest forum like this one? It's all support, enthusiasm and dodgy hugs
On the odd occasion where we do challenge each other it comes across all wrong, and the people who do challenge (i.e. randoms who post once telling everyone that we're doing it all wrong and we need to either a) invest all our money in sprockets or b) buy a new kitchen in Hampshire (in broken English)), just annoy!
Maybe we need to start a 'bring out your dead'/argue for the toss of it type thread where we drop the Mum5net vibe?
Your petrol spend terrifies me and I honestly wonder what nutritional value anything from AF has0 -

Part with all animals, move to 2 bedroom flat close to work so you can walk, put all children into 2 rooms and use a cupboard to sleep in, live on tinned beans and tinned peaches, buy all clothes from jumble sale..... I've thought about it and in our case we could just buy a studio flat near a train station so Mr Watty could take train to work (cheaper than central London).
This plan would certainly make us mortgage free very quickly. There is a downside to plan in our case. One of us would probably snap and murder the other, meaning the living one would be held at HMP thus saving yet more cash! Suspect nephews and godthings would do very well as assets after legal fees would go to them!! :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
