Looking for trickle feed tracker

I would like to open a S&S ISA tracker but not with a lump sum. I would like to be able to 'trickle' invest in the ISA with anything from £20 to £200 per month - obviously not breaching the limit of an ISA. I do have HL ISA wrapper but am wary of HL charges. Is there another ISA wrapper supplier with very low charges who can offer me a range of tracker ISAs that would allow me to invest in this way?

Most, if not all, platforms will allow regular contributions.
http://www.comparefundplatforms.com is useful to compare some of the more popular low-cost platforms (they don't include HL)

Cavendish will let you do that.

I have ISAs with both Cavendish and HL although I have to say for the option you have suggested HL would be the far better choice as the website makes such a flexible DD possible. With Cavendish/Cofunds I have yet to have a successful DD payment taken since last May.

For small amounts you can use BlackRock trackers inside HL ISA which don't attract the platform charge.

Does this mean they are charge free within HL? I understood HL charged you no matter what..

Yes they are free of additional charges - obviously you still pay the fund AMC but you pay that wherever you buy the fund.

Thanks, this is useful. Out of interest how would I calculate the comparative HL charge?

You'd have to work it out yourself from information on the HL site. Or ask them to work it out for you.

Does the AMC include the monthly 'platform charge' that HL levy?

No they are two separate items - you can see them under "Charges and Savings" for each fund

HL minimum monthly investment is £50 though, so if that's too high you might need to look elsewhere.

Other than some IT savings schemes the minimum for most ISAs is the same. The beauty of the HL ISA is that you can vary the DD online each month so the OP could go from £50 one month to £200 the next and drop back to £50 the month after, all managed from within the HL account itself.

The AMC for BlackRock UK trackers is around 0.55% compared to 0.27% for HSBC but that then attracts the £2 platform fee. If you read the full fund details on the HL website it will explain the different charges for each fund and is very informative.
