What wireless USB?

Will be getting broadband soon with a wireless router however my laptop does not have wireless, what is the best wireless USB to go for?

Also what security issues is there with using wireless routers?

The best way is to fit a wireless card in the laptop, if you don't feel confident or want to go that way I have one of these in a desktop that works very well with no problems.

Make sure you enable your routers wireless security options preferably with WPA2-PSK and your own password.

Just because you are getting a wireless router does not mean you need to use wireless. You can continue to use ethernet.

Always think it defeats to object of a laptop, I know some people use them in place of a desktop so don't move them, but I prefer the options of being able to use them anywhere there is wireless signal.;)

Had seen that one, prefer the look of that one to the £4 one thats more like a dongle.

Will prob go for that as dont want to start taking laptop apart.

Agreed, it must be a pretty ancient laptop that doesn't have wireless built in, maybe OP needs a nudge to upgrade!

will prob get a wireless printer as well so would prefer to go wireless.

Was actually surprised it did not have it, its a dell got it in 2010!!!

When I can, I prefer Ethernet over wireless mostly because of the speed lost on wireless.
