    Evening all,

Hope everyone is ok. I'm really only posting so that I can show off my updated signature :p
I've just been through all my eight creditors and 7 have frozen or vastly reduced interest. Have made a note to contact them on the allotted dates so that they don't bang it back on again.
HSBC oh dear, well a bit of a success. Rang them to confirm they have stopped interest and refunded a small fee on our overdraft which is good. On the down side they seem to have lost our managed loan. Have two pieces of correspondence from them with two different account numbers, one stating its a personal loan, its not its a managed loan as we combined a few different things with them, and I have the original paperwork, with the original managed loan account details. The recent paperwork dated 25th feb states its a personal loan and a completely different account number.
This was paid monthly out of our old Hsbc account, £175 a month until our recent troubles and was taken out in 2009. I explained all this to the girl on the phone who promised faithfully her manager would ring me this afternoon, if not she would call back. Of course they haven't rung and I will have to go through the whole sorry saga again tomorrow. I'm so mad I could spit. SC have tried to make a payment with both numbers and HSBC can't trace it from either account details:eek: so where has it been going then!! I'm so mad I could scream:mad:
What would you do? The devil in me is a little bit excited that if they can't find it, I don't owe it lol but I'm sure they will come up with something. They are far our biggest creditor and pain in the bum.
Answers on a post card, can I do anything about the way they are behaving and even more importantly do you think I can get them to compensate me financially for all the hassle. I'm sure they still charging full interest and costs because I've missed payments. Thanks for your help with this. Julie

Just popped back to say we've managed to pay of £689.41 since January including any refunds or charges we've claimed back. :T I'm so pleased, only a drop in the ocean I know but still fab for us.
Mossop have a look at your SC account, mines showing my March payments already :j:j

Hi all, just check SC statement and first payments have been processed! (Thanks Julie!) how fab does that feel!
I'm going to update signature at different milestones as had a bit of a set back, total has increased a bit from charges and then decreased due to first payment, so my plan is to update every 3 months.
Julie as far as HSBC are concerned.... What a pain in the bum, as u know I had lots of kurfuffle with them but persevere.... They WILL bow down... Think positive! Just stay calm and keep smiling!
There is one thing on my statement it says my monthly payment is £356 and that's the amount they took, but money paid to creditors was £355? I know it's only £1 difference but where did it go? When I total up the different amounts to creditors it comes to £356, looks like n error on the statement? Can anyone advise.... I probably wouldn't have noticed but I've become quite anal about studying every penny!

Yes I pay a fee for the co op premium account -co op have already offered to open up a basic account -is it essential I get my salary re directed to a new basic account BEFORE I return the signed DMP agreement with SC?

Your new account needs to be with a different bank, not the Co-op. You really must not bank where you have debts because of the chance of offsetting.

    Evening all,

Just a quick update. A little mini victory with HSBC today. Spoke to someone who seems to have some idea of what he is doing and explained the issue with the account details on my mnagaged loan. I just want to pay the blooming thing!
Lovely guy has taken it on and will liaise with SC to sort it. He seemed good but we will see. Also another £50 refund of charges that have been taken from our OD so that's down to £216, at this rate my overdraft will be paid before they sort out the managed loan payments . It's only fair I wouldn't have a blooming OD if they had acted quickly to accept I was in financial difficulty. Hopefully I can get rid of that and increase the payments to the managed loan.
    Every little victory counts:D

  • Morning all

I love milestones whether it's the looking at how long the kitchen roll will last in relation to where I will be with the DMP or have dropped a debt by x mount or be upto y%. Keeps me going without doubt, as does this thread, thank you.

The snow is ensuring I truly am eating from cupboards and freezer.

Hope everyone well. Fantastic to read about all the successes, makes the biggest impact creating those this soon into your DMPs so very well done.
