Tramadol! I bet he's seeing dragons hiding in the curtains too - nowhere near as much fun as the unicorns in my kitchen every evening ;)

Life is going to be so dull when I'm better and off the painkillers ;)

I'm having a major wobble which resulted in a panic attack just now.

My DMP with SC should start on 1st July. I spoke to a really lovely guy at SC for some additional reassurance. I have a sect of about £5K with Very and Littlewoods. He said they were "really difficult to deal with".

What happens if they don't accept the DMP. Will the interest just keep rolling over until I literally have a heart attack.

    Very worried.

Why would my mortgage company send me a letter asking me to discuss my financial position when we are better than up to date with them.

It's a One Account offset mortgage which holds our emergency fund and little savings pots for the budget.

Unfortunately they are closed until 9am tomorrow. I am more specifically worried about the line "and more specifically your plans to repay the outstanding balance on the account"

Now that would be an absolute belter if they called in the mortgage (can they even do that) because we are on a DMP.

I've just trawled through 12 pages of T&Cs and the only mention of debts is they will discuss the information in the account with other parties in the Illegal and Fraudulent activity section.

How would they even find out? They are not linked to any of my creditors in anyway? Tesco used to be underwritten by RBS but that finished in 2009, and that is the closest we get to RBS.

While I'm not going to worry until I need to worry, I'm a little cross.

Just when things were going our way .......

Dont be worried, if you make payment , via your Stepchange DMP and they try to be awkward tell Stepchange about it and they will remind Littlewoods of their responsibilities to deal with you fairly..

If Littlewoods dont treat your fairly you can refer the matter to the Financial Conduct Authority which will cost Littlewoods approx £500 (I think).

Good luck on your journey to be DF..

Please fuzzy try not to worry, no one can predict how the creditors will play. At the end of the day you are offering to pay what you can afford, you are not running away from your debts. It will all get sorted and the good old fos are always available if they don't play nicely.

BB, no answer for you but it will probably be completely unrelated to your dmp and some 'sales call'. Do let us know tomorrow and don't worry.

I have never heard of a mortgage being called in but I don't know anything about offset mortgages but maybe there is someone else here who has one who can help. Or it could be useful to ask the question on the mortgages and endowment board, someone there may know something.

Please don't panic about it, you need to speak to them in the morning but don't get stressed and lose sleep in the meantime.
