Thank you Sunny and Kate, I need a lot of reassurance now!

Been there, done that : (looks back and laughs :rotfl:)
I even had a plan to move my stuff into storage in case the bailiffs came.......
I am forever grateful to the HBOS operator who gently suggested I call Stepchange.
Keep up the good works everyoneDebt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Hi FuzzyDF
I'm at the same stage as you, also hoping that the plan will be set up ready for 1 July.
I feel like I'm on a complete roller coaster ride of emotions, do you?
At first, the though of over two years was horrifying, but now...? 2 years? That's doable!!
Good luck with it x~~I am debt free~~0 -

Nah, they won't send you there, they'd have to wait to wait even longer to get their money back and there's no room
Glad to see you sounding a bit brighter

Hi all,
Haven't been on for a wee while, so need to catch up with numerous posts a bit later on and see how everyone is doing.
My son and grand-daughter are visiting this week, so busy keeping an almost 3yr old amused (exhausting, but fun). So just popping in quickly to update my details as I have just completed my first annual review (which was actually very easy to do online - phew). We are able to increase our monthly payments a little which brings our DFD closer by 5 months - yey
Most creditors have now defaulted us, just need to deal with Halifax who are the only ones still charging interest
Can't believe how quickly this last year has gone and I have learned to budget much more effectively. I still have the odd down day, but on the whole feel so much better than the 'dark days' before we started our DMP.
So to all those thinking about a DMP, or just about to start one - all I would like to say is you won't regret it and however you are feeling right now.... it can only get better.

Hardest part's over... Now you just need to make sure that extra money not being swallowed up by repayments every pay-day works for you, not for everyone else!0 -

I thought the Halifax used an East European debt collection firm called Kiq'uer Eideen (pronounced Kick-yer 'Ed-in)?
No need to Google them I did it for you:Kiq'uer Eideen Ltd
Founded: 5th June 2014 (moments ago) in the head of Monkeyballs of Greyskull Ltd and operating on behalf of T'Alifax Bank.
Operating out of: Castle Greyskull, a small fishing port on the island of Iz Niice in East Europe on the border between between Poland and France.
Currently employing: Just three staff members; Monkeyballs Von Gruber (Owner/Director), Yuri Nmyway (Muscle/Villain) and Mavis Miggleswade (Muscle/Tea lady).
Turnover to Date: Several times each night.
Estimated Value: Purely Sintimental
Lets hope your debt doesn't get passed to these guys... Not wanting to worry you luv
