Got to see the OR!!!

Hi,

we got our papers stamped Monday of this week, at long last, and was expecting a phone call from the OR sometime yesterday or today (according to the court clerk!)

Now I find out we have to go to Nottingham to see the OR!!!

is this standard pratice for Nottingham, or are we about to be hauled over the hot coals. I am not looking forward to this one bit!

Thanks :(

    Ug,

Although some people on here have said that a face to face with the OR may seem more terrifying in advance but that it actually can work out better and be a more pleasant experience. Hang in there!

I think the decision whether to interview you by phone or face to face depends on a number of factors.

If you have significant assets, your own house, your own business, it may be that a phone interview is simply not going to be enough to get all the information needed.

Good luck though and as others say, as long as you are prepared and have a full statement of afairs and records you will be fine.

Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Just wondered why you had to go to notts. It does seem a bit of a journey...usually they do stuff by telephone.

Thanks Mike, what will happen will happen I guess..

It may be that they pull in people at random, or they didn't like the look of something.. just terrified at what. We were brutaly honest in our forms, as you have to be...

Anyway, as they work part time (10am-4pm!!) I'll have to ring them tomorrow to get an appointment... Try and find out more then.
