You will not be tied into another 12 month contract from receiving an offer/discount

Generally they only 12-month contract you when you upgrade equipment/services (not tv packages)

I've just cancelled mine because the offers expired and it shot up to £85, they had no offers what so ever to give me so im reverting back to a phone/bb package with someone else and freeview. Everything I record is available on catch up services like itv player, iplayer etc so I dont think ill miss it. I might get a freesat+ box depending on the purchase cost.

Try Quidco - looks like a minimum of £100 and up to £225 cashback.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

If all you want are the Freesat From Sky channels (not Freeview-that's only on a terrestial platform), then the cheapest route is simply to get the dish changed. Sky will cost you a minimum £258 for the minimum term, fixing the dish/LNB wil be less than half that.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
