Ebay disasters

Item has intrinsic value (with additional evidence) Postage refund, plus compensation on basis of the customer’s actual loss. This compensation is subject to the maximum payable being the lower of the market value of the item and £46
Certainly that wasn't the case when I suffered the previous loss although that was a long time ago. I really can't be bothered to reread the small print again because it's a mute point anyway. The seller won't pay even for recorded delivery which is what Ebay advise should be used. She doesn't want to pay me as much as I had to pay when I bought the item. Presumably the time for me to correct her mistake isn't worth as much as it was to her to post the item she sold.
