Which is the best/ cheapest PAYG service provider?
I have been so disillusioned by 3 that I am abandoning it. Which of the other PAYG service providers are the cheapest/ best. I have sim cards for Orange, Vodaphone, T-mobile, O2 and Virgin? I have bought a new handset which has the Virgin card in it already. Thanks all.

Brief thoughts - Tesco if you call the same 3 nos a lot. Or their Uk only basic (Extra?) tariff. 10p a min and 5p a min texts. They have the best rates for calling and texting Europe - 40p a minute and 20p to send a text.
If you're calling T Mobile a lot, their Mates rates is 5p a min and 5p a text. Virgin's only cheap for calling or texting Virgin nos but horrendous for other networks.
O2 etc are all more expensive AFAIK.0 -
Orange speakeasy tariff with free text trigger top up gives you 15p a minute any network calls, and up too 1000 free texts a month. T mobile gives unlimited free evening and weekend texts, and 12p a minute any network calls. These are the two best value for money currently in my oppinion at the moment.

Thanks both.
Richardjames, thinking now as I said I have just bought a new handset with a Virgin sim card in it already. I have not put the battery in it or anything, do you think that it is locked into Virgin? It is a Nokia1112 handset.
I have decided to go with T-mbile, so do I just take the Virgin sim card out and put the T-mobile one in???!!!!! Confusion reigns.:smileyheaMagenta0 -
Some virgin phones are locked to just virgin. Unfortunately I dont know whether the Nokia 1112 is so locked.0

If your phone came in a Virgin branded box then it is most likely locked to Virgin. Also, Virgin normally lock to their own network which is a sub-set of T-Mobile. This generally means that although you can use a T-Mobile or Virgin SIM card in a T-Mobile locked phone, you cannot use a T-Mobile SIM card in a Virgin locked phone, only a Virgin SIM.
YMMV.
